We were approached by Lee Wakemans to design a new all-through school for RAK Academy, an organisation with five schools in the United Arab Emirates, teaching both to the British curriculum and International Baccalaureate.

The scheme includes a wide variety of accommodation and facilities, including: classrooms, halls, a dedicated early learning centre, sports centre with external tennis court, multiple-use games areas, a football/hockey pitch and running tracks.

It has been designed to reflect the local vernacular, with arched windows, stone balustrades at roof eaves and local external materials, with typical geometric designs informing the main building plan.
