“Having known Shaun for many years I have always found him to be extremely focused in delivering clients’ requirements with a fabulous way in which he conducts himself in steering a client through the process of a complicated building programme.

The way he approaches a challenge, the innovation he employs and the practical solutions he designs, epitomises teamwork with other professionals, this coupled with his desire to deliver excellent buildings means he is great to work with.

All the clients he touches and fellow design team members he works alongside will always speak highly about their experiences with Shaun due to his fabulous service and more importantly him as a person.”

LABC Award

We designed Ebony House in the village of St. Nicholas within the Vale of Glamorgan.

It won the best new dwelling category at the Vale of Glamorgan Excellence Awards 2020 for its contemporary, uncluttered aesthetic which sets off high quality natural materials and finishes to the various elements of the building.

Update: the project has now also won the South Wales award and has been nominated by both the South Wales and North Wales awards committee leaders to represent Wales in the national awards.

Victoria Walker from Vale of Glamorgan LABC had the following to say about the achievement: ‘Congratulations to you all to be put through as a nomination to represent Wales is amazing, just shows how unique Ebony House is and all the hard work which has gone into the build from design stage to construction!!! We haven’t had one actually get through from Wales for years so really well done.’

BBC-Radio-4_Logo

We designed a demountable pod to enable BBC Radio 4 to record ‘the listening project’ across the country. The design was a runner up in the national competition run by the broadcaster.

“We have worked closely with Shaun and his team both on the Claremont Hydrotherapy Pool project in Redland Bristol, and the winning design for the RSAW Redesigning the Welsh Terrace competition.

We have been impressed by his energy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail. At Claremont School we have witnessed his complete commitment to delivering a high quality building for the school and pupils, whilst faced with a restricted site and a tight budget.

His approach to project work is characterised by rigour, optimism, collaboration, whilst maintaining throughout a keen focus on delivering the client brief.”
