We were approached by a local developer to design a number of new-build houses and bungalows on a steeply-sloping site in Godreaman.
Our client took possession of this site near Aberdare with outline planning consent for 43 self build plots on an extremely steep site.
Prichard Barnes Architects developed the application into 43 contemporary houses for private sale. To assist with the speed of the construction, we adopted the use of SIPS panels supplied by Glosford Timber in Hereford. The houses were then clad in a variety of materials including zinc, render, stone and slate.
Nearing completion, phase 1 has been extremely successful, with phase 2 due to complete at the end of 2021.
