We looked at many different housing options, including one and two bedroom apartments and three bedroom houses with our client Linc Cymru for the site of a former public house on Michaelstone Road, Cardiff, these were in the form of terraced housing and four-storey apartment blocks, all designed to Welsh Government guidelines.

The site is on a prominent corner plot on the outskirts of Cardiff, so we increased the height at the elbow of the plan, to emphasise this corner plot.

The final design incorporated two-tone coloured brickwork that blended from one colour into the other, adding visual interest and texture to the main street facades.
